December 5th, 2023. For 66 years, Christmas in Marbella has had a leading location for many residents and visitors to Marbella. We mean the legendary El Fuerte Marbella, the first luxury hotel to open its doors in the centre of Marbella’s Old Town, and whose Christmas Eve, Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations have welcomed a huge range of celebrities from all over the world. After taking a break in 2022 to be completely renovated, this 2023 it has returned stronger than ever to make these upcoming holidays a time of pure elegance and sophistication.
And to celebrate its first Christmas as a 5-star hotel, the emblematic establishment, of which Ana Boyer and the aristocrat Amelia Windsor, younger cousin of Prince William of the UK, are two of its main ambassadors, has wanted to merge its historical legacy with the most advanced gastronomic trends.
Christmas Eve with traditional flavours and innovative concepts
Bearing this in mind, Christmas Eve El Fuerte Marbella invites you to enjoy an exclusive buffet full of traditional dishes including Iberian sausage, the best Mediterranean products and gourmet meats such as Black Angus, Wagyu and duck magret; combined with stations including groundbreaking formats such as a pop-up of 5 J sliced ham and oysters, a sushi corner and a raw bar with delicacies like monkfish and lobster roll, among many other proposals.
A designer brunch to celebrate Boxing Day
For English Boxing Day (December 26th), which has come to Marbella to stay, El Fuerte Marbella offers you a designer brunch in buffet format, bringing together the charms of a cosy and modern luxury breakfast; with the tradition of a Christmas lunch. The result is an authentic culinary experience in which smoked meats and tartars are offered combined with Italian specialities, ready-to-eat sandwiches, homemade meat empanadas, healthy fruit ice rolls and the classic roast beef, which cannot be missing in any Boxing Day that wants to live up to its name.
A stunning gala dinner
The cherry on top of the Christmas programme at El Fuerte Marbella, known as the “Hotel of the stars”, will be, as has been customary for 66 years, its long-awaited New Year’s Eve gala dinner. An event in which a selected 6-course menu, made up of dishes made with 5-star products like lobster, scallops, foie, matured beef turbot, will be paired with a careful selection of musical classics performed live. Children who attend the evening will also be able to enjoy a high-quality menu with inspiring and super fun proposals like Iberian ham sticks and Black Angus medallions and pont-neuf potatoes and secret sauce, among other delicious dishes. At the end of the gala dinner, the countdown party will begin and guests will be able to eat the lucky grapes with spectacular views of the Mediterranean.
